More exercise and less eating and drinking can prevent breast cancer
An expert has said that women should eat less, cut down on booze and exercise more to prevent breast cancer.
The Daily Express has reported that according to Carlo La Vecchia, head of epidemiology at the University of Milan, females should eat more fruit and vegetables and less fat and red meat, drink less alcohol and do more exercise. "What can be achieved with breast cancer screening has been achieved, the expert told a cancer conference. It's time to move on to other things. It's hard to lose weight, but it's not impossible. The benefit is worth it."
"We would never want women to feel responsible for their breast cancer. It's a complex disease," said Ian Manley, a spokesman for Breast Cancer Care. (With Inputs from Agencies)
