London, November 19 : The late father of the boy who alleged Michael Jackson molested him had become a recluse before committing suicide, it has emerged.

Evan Chandler, father of Jordy Chandler, had apparently shut himself up in his 16th floor flat and disconnected himself with the world outside, according to his neighbours.

The 65-year-old man who shot himself on the head was estranged from his family too.

"Evan began to develop tremendous mood swings. He was always depressed. He stopped coming to family events because he was afraid of being recognised. That turned into permanent estrangement," the Mirror quoted a relative as saying.

Jordy had alleged in 2006 that Chandler attacked him with a dumbbell to get a restraint order against him.

Now, Jordy lives in Long Island, New York, with a different name.

Meanwhile, details of Chandler's death revealed that his face had been mutilated by a string of cosmetic procedures.

Seemingly, he used botox and cosmetic fillers in order to hide his growing age.

Chandler had received 16 million pounds from Jackson for an out of court settlement of the child molestation charges. (ANI)
