Micro-Con gets more than $4 million in production orders
According to the media reports, Micronetics Inc. announced on Tuesday its New Jersey subsidiary received more than $4 million in production orders for assemblies used in jamming systems.
The microwave sub-assemblies are used a part of a high-performance airborne jamming system.
It has also been reported that details on the system and the identity of the original equipment manufacturer, however, weren't disclosed.
David Robbins, chief executive officer of Micronetics, said, "This follow-on contract at our microwave subsystems division, Mirco-Con, is significant for several reasons. First, the platforms that these subsystems enable are important strategically because they support current military assets. Second, this contract is a repeat order from an existing customer which validates Micro-Con's track record of successfully converting engineering prototypes into production hardware."
Micronetics makes microwave and radio frequency components and integrated sub-assemblies used in a variety of defense, aerospace and commercial applications.
The report further noted that major customers include Boeing, AeroSat Avionics, BAE Systems, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Thales and L-3 Communications. (With Inputs from Agencies)
