Mercedes-Benz to target tier II and III Indian cities
German luxury-car makers Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will focus on the tier II and III cities of the country as well. As per the company officials it is eyeing to improve its market share in coming fiscals in India. For this reason it has decided to take a move to the smaller cities as well along with the metros.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz India, Dr Wilfried G Aulbur has informed to the media in Mumbai that India is having a very good auto market and the company should not only focus metros. The growth should come from all across the country.
The company has managed to get a good sales growth in major metros of the country.
The MD has also reported that now the tier II and III cities are also having a good potential market and they need to be focused as well. He has said that about 25 to 30% of the companies share in India is coming from these non-metro cities.
