Manesar Plant Producing Maruti Hatchback Swift Closed for the Second DayAccording to reports, Manesar plant, which handles the production of Maruti Suzuki's famous Hatchback Swift, is being closed for the second day, as anxious fans of the car model have to wait longer for it to be launched.

Also, the plant in Manesar, Haryana, was shut, owing to the company not letting workers to get in until they sign the `good conduct bond', in order to ensure that they will not engage in activities that would tamper usual daily production at the plant.

Maruti stated: "Some workers were deliberately tampering with the components that go into its vehicles, as there were serious and deliberate quality issues in some of the cars that were made at Manesar plant last week".

However, 16 extra permanent workers were suspended, and the company stopped the services of 12 of their trainees on Tuesday, as the chaos between the workers and the management at the plant totally increased, whereby tampering the second day's production.

Moreover, just about 30 workers from 950 at Manesar plant signed the `good conduct bond', as it was said that they had lost about 1,200 units of production as well as Rs 40 crore in revenue, resulting from the stop in production
