Macca praises Beatles’ offspring

Sir Paul McCartneyLondon, January 25 : Sir Paul McCartney has nothing but praise for the children of his fellow Beatles who are pursuing their own music careers.

Sir Paul publicly lauded the efforts made by Ringo Starr's son Zak Starkey, the late John Lennon's Julian and Sean and George Harrison's Dhani, who all he believed had inherited the melodic genes.

"It's like children of famous actors - they're born with the gene. You either say, `No, I can't top that' and move into another field or you just go with it," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

The 66-year-old had previously announced he was recording an album with his 31-year-old son James, and further added other Beatles offspring amongst great musicians.

He said: "You've had Julian, Sean, Dhani and my son James, who is a great musician.

"I'm doing an album with him. And Ringo's kids are all great drummers." (ANI)
