London gets new business embassy of Liverpool
In order to be able to attract more business to Merseyside, Liverpool has opened up a new business embassy in London. The office will be situated in New Broad Street, near Liverpool Street.
It has been developed as a joint venture between the council in Liverpool along with other public sector groups and close to 30 businesses of Liverpool.
Talking about the same, City council leader Councillor Joe Anderson said that the idea of new office is to be able to provide some insight of Liverpool to the investors. It also would try to encourage them to visit the place. He added further that the city has got a lot of opportunities and has some big and ambitious plans at the back.
He also informed that big investor like Peel Holdings has got a plan to put in close to £5.5 billion in the Liverpool Waters project. That is in no way a small deal.
The funding of the office is going to be done by the businesses that are present in Liverpool and will be open first for three months. If all works well then the time period can be extended too.
