Sundaram-Clayton Ltd (SCL) recently announced the induction of Lakshmi Venu, the daughter of CMD of TVS Motors, Venu Srinivasan on to the board of directors of the company.

Following the trend of young turks entering their respective corporate houses, Lakshmi Venu will take over the role of director, strategy at Sundaram-Clayton (the holding company of TVS Motors). Be it the DLF Group, Apollo Group, UB Group or the other conglomerates in the country the young generation has been constantly getting grooming sessions at the company.

Lakshmi Venu, a graduate from Yale University, holds a doctorate in engineering management from the University of Warwick got the required training through various courses and gained lot of experience across all fields before getting helm at the reins of the company.

The appointment of Lakshmi comes at a time when the Group’s flagship company TVS Motors is aiming for the next path of growth in the Indian two-wheeler industry. In her new role, she will be able to examine the regular operational exercises and will be responsible for drawing strategy for all the group companies.
