Girija Prasad Koirala says will talk with coalition partners on government formationKathmandu, May 11 : Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has announced that he has started a dialogue with leaders of all political parties within the Seven Party Alliance (SPA) and other newly emerged Terai-based parties on the issue of government formation and commencement of smooth proceedings of the Constituent Assembly which is set to convene within a fortnight.

He asked other parties to go ahead with the consultation process to lead the political process to a logical conclusion.

The consultations were begun on Saturday at Koirala's official Baluwatar residence. Koirala is reported to have stressed on the need to draft a Constitution that represents the aspiration of all people.

Meanwhile, Maoist Chairman Prachanda has said that the people of Nepal have mandated him to become the first executive Prime Minister and head of the state of the newly-formed republic. He said that there was no confusion about who should lead the next government.

The Maoist strongman also stressed that no party should put condition of 'One Madhesh, One Province' to lead the political process ahead although they could clarify such political position before the public. (ANI)
