The new service shall be initially on hands for the Blackberry curve 8520 and 8900, for the Blackberry Bold 9000 and 9700, Storm 9530 and Storm2 9550 and The Blackberry Tour 9630 with all major cellular operators across US. The Research In Motion smartphone sails in the same boat as Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch with this e-book app which is also present for Windows PCs. Amazon further plans to launch applications for the Mac and Apple iPad,

According to Amazon it selected Blackberry just because of its user demand which added a feather on the cap with is Kindle app.
