Keira Knightley Says Carey Mulligan Was Behind Signing 'Never Let Me Go'

Keira Knightley Says Carey Mulligan Was Behind Signing 'Never Let Me Go'In Hollywood, where stars sign project based on the script and the role, English actress Keira Knightley says that she signed the movie Never Let Me Go to get an opportunity to work with her close friend actress Carey Mulligan once again.

The 25 year old actress earlier worked with Mulligan in the 2005 film Pride & Prejudice. Carey played her sister in that film and that share a very close bonding since then. They have even gone for holidays together and enjoy spending time with each other. Both the actresses are of same age and share a very intimate bonding.

Keira says that one of the main reasons behind signing the film was Carey being a part of it. She adds that people hardly get an opportunity to share screen space with their close ones with whom they are very comfortable, so she did not want to miss this golden opportunity.

In Never Let Me Go, they play childhood friends, who share a tragic secret during their stay in a boarding school. It is based on a novel written by Kazuo Ishiguro and has been directed by Mark Romanek. They started shooting in 2009 and the film will be released in UK on January 21, 2011.

The Pirates of the Carribean says that it's a rare opportunity when she got to play the character like this, where she shares the same kind of relationship in real life too.

We hope their chemistry also reflects in the film when it releases in UK.
