Islamabad, Mar. 22: Senior Supreme Court Justice Nawaz Abbasi was on Saturday sworn in as the Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Supreme Court Judge Justice Syed Saeed Ashhad administered the oath of office to Justice Nawaz Abbasi in a ceremony in Islamabad, The News reported.

Justice Abbasi would be the Acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in absence of Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar who is abroad.
