JP Hydro posts disappointing Q4 results; recommends dividend of Rs 0.75 per share
Jaiprakash Hydro Power, a Jaypee Group company, has posted a net loss of Rs 25.52 crore for the fourth quarter of 2009 financial year.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 28.86 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
In addition, the total sales of the company also declined to Rs 60.81 crore for the quarter under review, compared to Rs 64.91 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
For the year ended March 31, 2009, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 142.86 crore from Rs 213.40 crore for the same period last year, down 33 per cent.
Further, company’s total revenue, including sales of VERs and other operating income plummeted 7% to Rs 317.91 crore from Rs 342.50 crore in the corresponding period a year-ago.
Apart from announcement of results, the board of directors of the company has proposed a final dividend of Re 0.75 per share.
The shares of the company finally settled the day at Rs 41.65 on BSE, after touching intraday high and low of Rs 45.45 and Rs 41.10.
