John Travolta poised to personally fly son’s body home

John Travolta poised to personally fly son’s body homeLondon, January 6 : Devastated John Travolta reportedly told his friends that he wished to fly his son's body back home.

The trained pilot and his wife Kelly Preston were said to be making preparations to take their 16-year-old Jett on his last journey.

The 54-year-old grieving father allegedly wanted to pilot his son following the autopsy and embalming of the body.

Jett, who began suffering from seizures at the age of two and was a toddler when he was diagnosed with rare Kawasaki disease, had been found unconscious in a bathroom in the family's holiday home in the Bahamas.

He had later been taken to Rand Memorial Hospital, Freeport, where he was pronounced dead on January 2, reports the Sun.

Police and paramedics had speculated that the teenager had fallen and hit his head on a bath.

A post mortem revealed "seizures" to be the cause of his death.

According to Emergency Medical Technician Chief Marcus Garvey, Jett's celebrity parents had begged their son to open his eyes and regain consciousness in the rushing ambulance.

The pair had insisted on being with their son, rather than follow behind in an ambulance.

He said: "He was unconscious, with no respiratory function or pulse. John and Kelly were on the scene at all times.

"They were concerned and asking, `Is he getting there, are they helping him, is anything happening, is he breathing?'

"Kelly asked, `Are we getting him back. Is he coming back?' I said, `We're still trying'."

The `Grease' actor and his better half had held their son's hands and pleaded him to stay put but in vain. (ANI)
