Washington, Dec 30 : Jessica Simpson is helping her American football star beau Tony Romo to recover after he reportedly collapsed following an intense match at the weekend.

According to ESPN. com, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback fell in the shower after a defeat by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Team sources told the website that medical staff brought a stretcher to the scene, but Romo walked on his own, reports Contactmusic.

Later, during his news conference, Romo had to be helped to the podium but refused to answer any questions regarding his health.

Romo reportedly suffered a rib injury in the second half of the match. (ANI)
