Infosys co-chief writes a new book on India's future

Infosys Technologies Co-Chairman, Nandan NilekaniInfosys Technologies Co-Chairman, Nandan Nilekani launched his new book 'Imagining India - Ideas for the New Century'. It reflects another aspect of his personality who can inspire country men through his motivational writing. Earlier, he was selected in the most influential people list, complied by the prestigious Time magazine.

He said, "Leaders were ahead of the common people during the time of Independence, but now people are ahead of leaders in their aspirations." He hailed the people power to build any nation and said that the country should pursue growth, reform and innovation in all spheres of public life. Stressing on the need of full reforms, the Infosys chief said that half reforms only yield an inadequate system which deprive people from education, health-care, jobs and the market. The country must start reform in the education sector for more employment and opportunities.

Mr. Nilekani criticized the early socialist policies and said that it impacted the growth of the country and weakened the democracy. The book analyses the role of the Indian youth in strengthening the country and make it a super power.
