Indian team misses warm-up match
Indian team has missed their warm-up match due to the fear of swine flu, which has infected many in West Indies. The Indian team is in the country for four one day matches series against the West Indies.
Indian team was scheduled to play warm-up match in Trinidad and Tobago but Indian team cancelled their warm-up match as cases of swine flu have been reported in Trinidad and Tobago.
Earlier, the authorities in the West Indies have also cancelled the inaugural Caribbean Games which involved track and field, boxing, netball and tennis as they did not want to take any chance with swine flu.
Apart from the cancellation of warm-up match, Indian cricketers were advised to remain in their hotel rooms as much as possible and to take all possible precautions.
Meanwhile, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet confirmed about the cancellation of warm-up match.
Indian team will play their first ODI match against West Indies in Kingston on June 26.
