Indian recurve team finishes at third spot

World Cup archeryThe Indian women's recurve team has finished at the third position in the FITA qualification round of the World Cup archery (Stage IV) at Shanghai, China on Thursday.

Indian women team including Rimil Buriuly, Dola Banerjee and Pratima Boro scored 3974 points collectively to place India at overall third spot. Korean team was placed at the top position with 4100 points followed by Russia with 4007 points.

Rimil was best performer for India, who finished at sixth position in the individual qualification round with a total of 1344 points. Rimil scored 334 points to finish at the second position in the 70 m event just behind Korea's Yun Ok-Hee (336).

Dola also impressed with her performance as she finished in top six in the 30m distance with 353 points. Pratima was not able to perform according to her potential as she scored only 1299 points to be at 31st position.

Indian team will now clash with the 14th placed Kazakhstan in the first round of the team elimination phase.
