Indian Navy's soft gesture for physically challenged children touches all

New Delhi, Nov 14 : To mark the Children's Day, Indian Navy on Wednesday organised a picnic for the physically challenged children at an amusement park in the national capital.

In an effort to bring smiles on the faces of the special children, the navy organised a day out for them, which the kids seemed to enjoy to the hilt and were seen enjoying several rides.

"We will roam here and there and enjoy today. If the God granted me a wish I would ask him to grant me all the freedom to roam here and there, " said Shantanu, a physically challenged kid.

Marya Mehta, President of Navy Wife Organisation was ecstatic and interacted enthusiastically with the kids during this outing.

"We want to tell people that we love these children and we care for them. We want to make this day special for them, " said Marya Mehta.

About 50 special and underprivileged children from different schools were taken out for a day of fun and frolic to Appu Ghar as part of the Navy's activities preceding the navy week celebrations.

To cheer up the little ones gift hampers, refreshments and lunch has also been organized. (ANI)
