Hyundai's sales and exports dip in January
It has been reported by Hyundai Motors India (HMIL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company, that they have witnessed a fall of 17.7 per cent in their total sales during January. The real figure stood at 43,316 units during the month as compared to 52,628 units during the same period last year.
The good news, however, was that domestic sales were up although marginally by 2.4 per cent. As compared to last year when the figures stood at 29,601 units, this time around the units were at 30,306.
This trend is in contrast to the one that was seen in December when sales as well as exports were both up. On the export front too, fall was seen by 43.5 per cent to be at 13,010 units. Last year during the same time, the number of units sent out was at 23,027.
No reaction what so ever was given by the second largest car maker in India. When sub divisions are to be seen then in the A2 category it was Santro, i10 and i20 that saw maximum sale of 39,343 units.
For Accent and Verna, it was the A3 category where 3,957 units were sold off.
