Hyundai plans to launch one new model every yearWith an aim to keep its position intact amidst the rising competition in the Indian small car market, Hyundai Motors India has decided to launch a new product that will make an effort to keep the competition in the backseat. Han Woo Park, MD, Hyundai motors India said that the company is working on a plan to introduce more than one new model every year and refurbish more than one existing model to gain market share.

The company has a capacity of around 6 lakh units out of which more than 1/3rd is exported and the Korean automaker is also working to get even a deeper penetration in the rural markets by opening new dealerships. As the total sales of the company were over six lakh units for the last year, it may be noted here that the company claims to be India's largest exporter of cars and even the second largest passenger car manufacturer following the Indo-Japanese market leader Maruti Suzuki. The company is also looking at launching the i10 diesel in the Indian market with the other offerings, Santro King, i10, i20, Accent, Verna and Sonata Transform in the Indian market.
