Hospital times became unsuccessful

Logan-HospitalRecently the website, MyHospitals disclosed that the waiting periods in the emergency department of Logan Hospital are quiet longer. It was compared with the national average time.

The site was officially launched on Friday. It is an Australian Government idea and was teamed under the National Health and Hospitals Network Agreement.

It displays the complete data on Australia’s private and public hospitals, as well as numbers of beds, patients admitted and length of dwells, and ED and elective surgery waiting period.

Logan Hospital ED waiting times from July 2009 to June 2010 were longer than the national average in all groups. It also included Emergency which was within 10 minutes, Resuscitation immediately, Urgent within 30 minutes and Semi-urgent within 60 minutes.

There was a comparison of 100 percent with a national average; out of it 96 per cent of patients were taken care on time for revival.

In Emergency category Only 71 per cent of patients were treated on time as compared with a national average which was of 78 per cent.

A small 44 per cent of urgent patients were noticed in 30 minutes whereas the national average was 65 per cent, and in last category, semi-urgent emergencies only 48 per cent of patients were cured within an hour and the national average was 68 per cent.
