HMSI launches new CBF 125 cc motorcycle in Indian Market

In order to woo its Indian customers, Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India HMSI launches new CBF 125 cc motorcycle in Indian MarketPvt Ltd (HMSI), country’s two and three wheelers maker has rolled out its new Stunner CBF 125 cc motorcycle in the Indian markets.

The newly launched bike is second addition to company’s existing motorcycle model in the 125 cc called Shine.

Last year, HMSI sold 9 lakh two wheelers comprising scooters and motorcycles roughly in the ration of 7:3.

While commenting on the launch, Mr. Shinji Aoyama, President and CEO of HMSI said, “We are targeting the youth as there is a huge demand from among them.”

Further, indicating its future roadmap, company’s Divisional Head (Sales and Marketing) N K Rattan stated,  “There will be one or two more new launches in this financial year. We also expect our bikes above the 800 cc category to launch in FY'09, which will be priced above Rs 10 lakh.”

“We plan to achieve a sale of one million units in the current fiscal and the launch of this new bike will help us in materialising this target.” Rattan added.

To expand its business activities, HMSI which already fields the Unicorn 150 cc motorcycle hopes to sell 80,000 units of Stunner CBF for 2008, and plans to launch 1000 cc bikes by end of FY09 in th country, and an advanced 100 cc motorcycle by 2010.

CBF Stunner are available in three variants with Red and Black colours -- Self Disc Alloy (Rs 51,655), Self Drum Alloy (Rs 49,820) and Kick Drum Alloy (Rs 47,070).
