Highest ever domestic sales for Hyundai in march 2010
India's second largest automaker and the largest exporter of passenger cars, Hyundai motors India has recently announced that the company has clocked the highest ever sales figures in the domestic market.
Notably, the company touched the figure of 31,501 units for the month of March, 2010 in the domestic market, registering 27.3% growth on a YoY basis.
In fact, the company's total sales including exports stood at 55,035 units as against 46,159 units in March, 2009 registering 19.2% cumulative growth. The exports showed a growth of 9.9% standing at 23, 534 units. In fact, for the January-March quarter, the company touched a growth rate of 33.3% selling a whopping 162,273 units in the Indian market. Moreover, for the whole fiscal, the company sold more than 6 lakh vehicles registering a growth over 20% over the last fiscal.
Arvind Saxena, Director - Marketing and Sales, HMIL shared his excitement as he said as the company closes the current financial year, Hyundai Motors India expects the Indian market to retain its buoyancy in the months coming forward, Saxena also highlighted the fact that support from the government in the form of timely stimulus packages and reduction in interest rates have given the much-desired boost to the industry in the last fiscal.
