HDFC bank debit card users can withdraw more money
The HDFC Bank has increased the limit of its ATM cards, specifically the Imperia Gold Card. As per the statement made by the bank, the card can now withdraw Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 1.25 lakh from the ATMs.
Earlier the limit was Rs. 50,000 per day. On the other hand, Easy Shop Regular International/Maestro/NRO cards will have their limits increased to Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 40,000.
Their limit till now is Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively. The Kid's Advantage card will see its limits increased from Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2,500. Women's cards can now withdraw Rs. 25,000 as against Rs. 20,000 earlier.
This increase in HDFC's withdrawal criterion is in line with that of ICICI Bank. Since, both the banks are in competition with each other, it is obvious that HDFC wants more cash freedom to be given to its customers.
As of now, only ICICI allows more than Rs. 50,000 to be withdrawn from the ATMs in one day. ICICI Bank allows Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 1.5 lakh to be withdrawn from its Titanium, Platinum and Signature ranges.
