HDB launches 7,055 BTO flats for sale on ThursdayThe Housing and Development Board (HDB) has announced the launch of more than 7,000 flats for sale on Thursday under the joint Build-to-Order (BTO) and Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) Exercises.

The HDB announced the sale of flats will be through the exercises both in non-mature and mature towns. The board also said that it will offer an option for the sanitary fittings in bathrooms. The optical scheme is expected to provide much flexibility to customers and will also help in saving renovations costs.

The board will also test an open kitchen concept for the flats at Teck Ghee Parkview. Under the scheme, buyers will have an option to have a partition wall between their living and dining area, and the kitchen as per their needs.

The first-time buyers will be able to sue various grants available to them for the BTO flats and purchase a flat at a relatively lower price. According to estimates, firs tie buyers will be able to buy a 4-room flat from just $219,000.

With the latest announcement, the total number of BTO flats will hit 27,000 units for this year, which is more than the target of 25,000. Meanwhile, seven new BTO projects with a total of 3,727 flats were also launched yesterday by the authorities.
