Diversified electrical products manufacturer Havells India Ltd has decided to spend 750 million rupees in Financial Year 2010 with the aim to expand its switchgear facility.

The sources said that the company is adding a new switchgear plant at Baddi in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

The company authorities stated in a communiqué that the expansion of facility will increase its switchgear capacity from 30 million units per annum to 50 million units per annum.

As per media reports, the company supplies switchgears to overseas clients like General Electric, Eatons, Siemens-Electrium.
