Government may announce bailout package for SatyamGovernment is likely to announce a special bailout package for beleaguered IT giant, Satyam Computers Services in few days.

The new Board of the company has reported that the IT major is not having enough of funds for salary pay outs and future of its 53,000 employees is hanging in dark.

Government has already appointed a board of experts who are working on many ideas to restore the image of Satyam Computer Services.

The board has notified the finance ministry about company's liquidity conditions. Board member and HDFC chairman, Deepak Parekh said, "working capital issues require immediate attention and we will work with the team to tide over this situation."

Government is believed to provide Rs 2,000 crore package for Satyam's employees following recommendations of newly appointed board. The package is expected to be disbursed in three installments in next three months besides Rs 400 crore more financial aid for its normal operations.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been watching the Satyam episode closely. PM has expressed his concern about image of Indian corporate sector and is reviewing the developments on regular basis. Recently, PM met senior Cabinet ministers and officials at his residence to discuss future strategy for Satyam.
