Google pulls Themer app after Apple's copyright infringement complaint
Washington, Feb 11 : Google has reportedly suspended Google Play access to Themer, following a copyright infringement complaint from Apple over icons used by the app.
Apple has claimed copyright over icons used in a theme by Themer, an app that lets Android users give their phones a different look.
Themer Chief Executive Ashvin Dhingra said that the theme called 'Seven' that gives Android phones an iOS 7 styling was the reason behind a Digital Millennium Copyright Act complaint, Cnet reported.
Inspite of Themer removing the theme, the app, which has been downloaded over a million times and provides more than 200 themes, is still missing.
Meanwhile, Themer said that it complied with Google's process and submitted a counter notice so that the app could be reinstated, but Google hasn't responded yet.
