Google applies brakes on Nexus One sales

Google applies brakes on Nexus One salesNexus One will now be sold via channel sales such as Vodafone rather than aforesaid online sales.

The reports comes from a blog posting that explains that sale of the much hyped super phone of Google has not seen reached the expected levels which led the search giant take this strong step of joining hands with local network partners to sell the phone through their high street shops and online stores instead.

The blog post that was hinted by the VP Engineering of Google stated: "While the global adoption of the Android platform has exceeded our expectations, the web store has not. It's remained a niche channel for early adopters, but it's clear that many customers like a hands-on experience before buying a phone, and they also want a wide range of service plans to choose from."

Meanwhile the VP further explained that this measure might aid in rise of Android based Nexus one, which was further hinted by the statement, "Innovation requires constant iteration."
