The world is aiming to go green and keeping this motto in mind, Sony has come out with its latest HDTV in its Bravia line dubbed as WE5, which the company claims would help the users to significantly save energy and thus reducing electricity bills.

How does WE5 do it? Well to understand this, it should be first noted that most TVs even when turned off, draw power. However the new WE5 is equipped with special switch, which can be activated reducing the power consumption of the set to zero watts when not in use.

Recently, BlackBerry came out with its latest the BlackBerry Curve 8900, which basically is the new version of the original T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve.

Reportedly, this set that is all about a keyboard, has a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and all the e-mail features that make BlackBerry popular with businesspeople.

It has come to light that HP, the well known computer manufacturer will ship its upcoming Mini netbook models with Windows only dropping the Linux operating system.

Reportedly, the new HP Mini 1000 netbook and HP Mini 700 would be equipped with Windows XP only. The customers will however get a choice between Windows XP and Vista, if they opt for HP Mini 2140.

LG has launched two new handsets namely the LG KS360 and LG KM710 in the Indian market.

The newly launched phones come packed with better connectivity options and a wide range of multimedia features.

Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals announced its quarterly results for the period ending December 31, 2008. It posted 157 per cent increase in net profit for the third quarter of current financial year.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 208.4 crore for the fourth quarter, as against Rs 80.9 crore during the corresponding period last fiscal.

During the quarter, the company said that its income from operations rose to Rs 374.8 crore in December quarter, where as the same was at Rs 346.7 crore in the previous year.
