Apex Court Issues Notice To Centre For The Closure Of 3 PSU’s The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Union Health Minister A. Ramadoss over the closure of three public sector undertakings (PSUs) manufacturing vaccines like DPT, measles, polio and BCG.

The three PSUs are Central Research Institute of Himachal Pradesh, Coonoors Pasteur Institute of India and BCG Vaccine Lab in Chennai.

Asus Eee PC 1002HA Available In India Asus has rolled out its new Eee PC 1002HA netbook in the Indian market.

Targeting at professional travelers, the newly launched netbook weighs just 1.2kg (with battery), and has dimensions of 264mm (W) x 181mm (B) x 27.6mm (H).

The compact and lightweight Eee PC 1002HA netbook works on Super Hybrid Engine (SHE), which reduces the power usage by 15 percent. It has 160 GB of hard disk drive with the advanced 10GB ASUS Eee online storage facilities.

The black-colored netbook comes with a 10 inch LED backlight display with a resolution of 1024×600.

Tanla Solutions in talks with Zed Worldwide to form 50:50 JVC

Tanla SolutionsHyderabad-based Tanla Solutions on Friday revealed its plan to form a 50:50 joint venture with Spanish mobile value-added services provider Zed Worldwide to develop and sell mobile content.

The company quoted in a statement that the proposed JV will also provide mobile advertising and related services to telecom operators in India.

The latest move entails an initial investment worth Rs 63 crore in the paid up capital, out of which both partners would contribute Rs 31.5 crore each.

Reliance Globalcom wins multi-year contract from UK-based firm

Reliance Globalcom wins multi-year contract from UK-based firmReliance Globalcom, the international arm of telecom service provider Reliance Communications, has secured a multi-year contract from British optical retailer Specsavers for its enterprise solution.

Under the arrangement, Reliance Globalcom will supply its enterprise solution for connecting 1,150 worldwide retail outlets of the retailer. The deal covers 10 countries across Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

However, the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed by the company.
