Washington, March 20 : A new simulation has shown that if 193 nations had not agreed to ban ozone-depleting substances, then nearly two-thirds of Earth''s ozone would have been gone by the year 2065.
The simulation was developed by atmospheric chemists at NASA''s Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, Bilthoven.

London, March 20 : A major 7.9-magnitude earthquake that struck off the Tonga islands region has led local radio stations to issue a tsunami warning for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji.
According to a report in the Telegraph, the quake, which hit in early morning today, was centered 130 miles south-southeast of the Tongan capital Nuku'Alofa and 300 miles southeast of Ndoi Island, Fiji.
It struck at a depth of 6.2 miles, the US Geological Survey said.
