The point lifts Newcastle into 18th place, above neighbours Middlesbrough on goal difference on 31 points with just four matches remaining. Portsmouth remain four places higher on 38 points.

Both websites claim that Michel, 46, has agreed to take over from Victor Munoz, who was sacked earlier on Monday - the 10th Liga coach to be axed this season.
