Parents perpetuated Santa Claus myth to keep kids happyWashington, Dec 9 : While most people think that Santa Claus isn''t real, they still perpetuate the myth only to keep their children happy, according to a new study.

Although some parents feel that they are outright lying, still they feel that with having kids believe that there''s a jolly man in a red suit who visits on Christmas Eve isn''t detrimental.

Almost 80 percent of the parents in 2000 said they perpetuated the myth of Santa since it made their children happy.

London, Dec 9 : A New Zealand man cannot stop thanking his wife, for her constant nagging compelled him to buy a lottery ticket that has won him a whopping
2.8 million pounds first prize.

In fact, the man had almost missed his lucky chance as he bought his ticket just two minutes before ticket sales closed on December 6.

"My wife had been nagging me all week to get a ticket, so I when saw the Lotto sign ... I sprinted in to get the ticket before they closed. I must have been their last customer of the night," the Telegraph quoted the man, who asked not to be named, as saying.

He disclosed that the young couple had had a "rough" couple of years, reduced to one income after having children.

Melbourne, December 9 : A drunken Brit man had been masturbating before he hit another car and killed two people, a court heard.

Imran Hussain, had been twice over the legal alcohol limit while he was pleasing himself and driving at a speed up to 193 km/h.

The 32-year-old had then crashed into a family on the motorway heading for a holiday trip to the United States, killing 47-year-old Gary Proctor and his 16-year-old son James.

The Manchester Crown Court heard that Hussain had had an argument with his wife prior to the fatal accident and had gone out drinking with his pals along with paying a visit to a lap-dancing club.
