Agartala (Tripura), Dec. 14 : Tripura capital Agartala recently played host to a two-day conference on Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR).
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Tripura Government organized the conference jointly, which was attended by representatives from the government, engineers, army, paramilitary, police personnel, students, teachers and NGOs.
New Delhi, Dec. 14 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is set to reopen the Nanded bomb blast case.
Talking to reporters on Sunday here, CBI Director Ashwani Kumar said: "We have reopened the Nanded investigations."
The decision to reopen the case was taken after some leads emerged during the investigations into the Malegaon case in which eleven people, including Lt Col Shrikant Purohit, were arrested.
The CBI has also taken into custody Rakesh Dhawde, one of the accused in the September 29 Malegaon blast.
Khundroo, Anantnag (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec. 14 : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday said that normalisation of relationship with Pakistan would depend upon Pakistan's stopping to provide a safe haven to militant groups.
Addressing an election rally, Prime Minister Singh said: "Our desire to normalise relations with our neighbour will not get fulfilled until our neighbour prevents its land from being used for terrorist activities against India."
Hamburg - Germany coach Joachim Loew has admitted to dissenting voices in the national team squad but still feels the Euro 2008 finalists can look back "positively overall" on the year.
Apart from the run to the final in the summer, where they lost 1-0 to Spain, Loew also pointed to his side's confident start to the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign, where Germany top Group 4 with 10 points from four games.
