New Delhi, December 17 : Brad Pitt has revealed that he and partner Angelina Jolie had banned their six children from watching too much TV -to keep them from making lavish demands inspired by commercials.

The `Burn After Reading' actor said that the pair had put a TV-time-limit for their kids to protect them from `manipulative' endorsements, reports China Daily.

He said: "The kids don''t ask for big gifts for the simple reason that they don''t see a lot of American cartoon television, which is packed with all those manipulative commercials for big toys that look so fantastic.

"When they do see that stuff is when they start asking for toys, so we figure if they don''t see them they won''t know they''re there."

Fossil hunters discover two new dino species in Sahara desert

London, Dec 17 : An expedition to the Sahara desert has found the fossilized remains of what are thought to be two new species of dinosaurs.

According to a report in The Times, the ancient remains discovered in Morocco, belong to a giant flying pterosaur and plant-eating sauropod.

Initial examinations suggest that both specimens are unknown to science.

They were unearthed during a month-long quest during which the research team braved floods and storms to reach the dig site and then preserve the fossils.

The scientists even feared that they would never get the bones out of the desert because they were so heavy that their Land Rover became stuck in sand.

White House apologizes to Elisabeth Hasselbeck over Christmas invitation

Washington, Dec 17 : Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the co-host of the daytime talk show `The View', was issued an apology by the White House after she complained of not receiving her usual invitation for the Christmas party there.

Hasselbeck, who is the conservative co-host of the show, had spoken about it during the live taping of the programme.

"Maybe I didn''t do enough for the Republican Party this year," Us magazine quoted her as saying on the show.
