Mayawati tries to expand base in SouthChennai, Dec 23 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati addressed a huge rally here in an attempt to expand her party base in Tamil Nadu.

Mayawati addressing the rally said that her party was not caste-based and support of all sections was required for obtaining power in the state.

"Our party believes that we need to address the concerns of all sections of the society in Tamil Nadu because without that neither our party can benefit all sections, nor can it come to power in the State," said Mayawati.

With 35.5 percent votes, Wi-Fi has beaten Sky+, Sat Navs, iPods and Blackberries to win the poll conducted by a leading gadget magazine.

In the survey by `Stuff' magazine, the readers were asked to choose the greatest technological innovation of the past ten years.

More than a third voted for Wireless Internet.

The Brit singer, who parted ways with former beau `Chemical Brothers' DJ Ed Simons earlier this year, is further bent on finding a boyfriend- so that she has no cause for concern about her personal story being sold to paparazzi.

The pop singer, who has had a string of drunken public instances, including being under the influence of champagne at the U. K. GQ Men of the Year Awards in September, insisted that she now preferred to be intellectually engaged with older people.

Ex ''Face of Asia'' model falls to death after splitting with beau

Sahar DaftaryLondon, Dec 23 : A model crowned the Face of Asia has fallen 150ft to her death from a luxury block of flats in Greater Manchester after finding out her boyfriend was married.

Sahar Daftary, 23, a Londoner, fell from the 12th storey of the ultra-modern NV buildings in Salford Quays.

Daftary, who won the Face of Asia contest in 2007, is thought to have visited the flat to collect her belongings after pulling out of a fashion show earlier in the day, claiming ill-health.

Friends said the model was distraught to discover subsequently that he was married.
