The US pop singer - real name Stefani Germanotta - leaps to number one this week with her debut single ''Just Dance'', reports BBC.

James Morrison and Nelly Furtado climb to two with ''Broken Strings'', while Burke falls to three with her version of ''Hallelujah''.

Meanwhile, Kings of Leon have ended Take That''s five-week reign over the UK albums chart.

Female tennis stars asked to cover up for Australian Open

Melbourne, Jan 12 : Female tennis stars participating in the Australian Open have been asked to give up skimpy outfits, and cover up at the Melbourne event.

The move came after French player Alize Cornet caused a stir in the Hopman Cup last week with a revealing, see-through top during a doubles match, reports The Sunday Herald Sun.

The Australian Open officials have threatened to impose a fine up to 2000 dollars for any player who broke strict dress code.

They would review the Cornet's outfits ahead of the tournament from January 19 to February 1.

Ex-tennis star Margaret Court also condemned Cornet's attire, insisting it pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable.

Pak, India must work together to fight terrorism: Malik

Addressing a joint news conference with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain here, Malik ruled out chances of a war between the two nuclear-armed countries and said the region desire peace and amity.

Kelly Trueman acquitted but still stuck in India

Melbourne, Jan 12 : Australian citizen Kelly Trueman, who has been found not guilty of drug trafficking, is still stuck in India after spending 3 years behind bars.

Trueman's father revealed that his daughter, who had merely been surviving in the putrid conditions in jail, is still likely to have her stay in India elongated.

He revealed that although foreigners had to wait at least 60 days before they were allowed to leave the country, but he fears that his daughter may have to wait for up to 12 months.

Kelly's mother Robyn has spent the past two years going back and forth to India, after her daughter was arrested on charges of trafficking 5.7kg of hashish.

Gordon BrownLondon, January 12 : British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has condemned Prince Harry's `Paki' remark directed towards his fellow comrade, dubbing it "unacceptable".

Accused of racism, the Prince, training to pilot the meanest attack machine in the British Army, is facing probe by military officials after a home video containing his "Paki" and "raghead" jibes against other cadets emerged.

Clarence House had immediately issued a statement apologising for Harry's behaviour, adding, "there is no question that he was in any way seeking to insult his friend".
