Peter Andre to join Robbie Williams in alien hunt

London, Jan 12 : Pop star Robbie Williams has recruited Aussie Peter Andre to help him track down aliens.

Williams invited Andre and his reality TV star wife Katie Price, better known as Jordan, to come UFO spotting with him while they were in Los Angeles shooting an episode of their new TV show.

Andre has been fascinated by the mysterious phenomena since he was a kid.

"Robbie's a great guy. We've already been texting about meeting up. I'm going to look for aliens and UFOs with him. I'm obsessed about them and gutted I've not seen one yet," the Mirror quoted Andre, as saying.

However, the similar interests don't end there.

Jade Goody turns to curry to fight cancer

Jade GoodyLondon, Jan 12 : Jade Goody has turned to scoffing curry, which, she believes, will help in her fight against cervical cancer.

It has been claimed that the fiery food has cancer-beating properties.

And the former Big Brother star, who has lost her hair through chemotherapy, is using the discovery in her health fight.

She was recently spotted nipping for a curry at Epping Tandoori in Essex.

According to her pals, Goody is determined to regain her health and will try anything to get better.

Fidel Castro unlikely to take part in a public event again: Chavez

HUGO CHAVEZLondon, Jan 12 : Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has said it is unlikely that former Cuban President Fidel Castro would take part in a public event ever again, but that the revolutionary idol would live on beyond this "physical life".

"We already know the Fidel that walked the streets and towns at night, looking like a warrior in his uniform, hugging the people, will never be seen again. He will become a memory," Mr Chavez said on his weekly "Alo Presidente" radio talk show.

He has often visited Fidel, 82, where he is receiving medical attention since undergoing gastrointestinal surgery in July 2006.

Beckham’s AC Milan debut draws praise, cynicism from Italian media

London, Jan 12 : Ace England midfielder David Beckham's first appearance for Italian club AC Milan drew both praise and cynicism in the country's media today.

The England midfielder made a surprise start and played almost the entire game in AC Milan's 2-2 draw at Roma.

Gazzetta dello Sport gave Beckham a six out of 10 in its game ratings, and offered a humorous remark about the loan signing from the LA Galaxy, The Independent reported.

"He played for 90 minutes, which no-one expected," the Milan-based publication said.

"But nothing to show as a replay for a Pepsi ad. However, he sacrifices, he crosses, he strikes, helps with humility. As his first Serie A appearance, he did just enough," it added.

British Foreign Secretary to visit India

New Delhi, Jan 12 : British Foreign Secretary David Miliband will arrive here on a three-day visit tomorrow to express solidarity with India over the Mumbai terror attacks.

During his visit, Miliband will meet External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister P Chidambaram. He is also expected to call on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

He is also scheduled to hold talks with a group of young Parliamentarians on climate change and security issues.

Miliband will also visit Mumbai where he will address meetings at the Hotel Taj Mahal and Hotel Trident, sites of the Mumbai terror attacks.

India keen to address water resource challenge: Soz

Inaugurating the International Conference on Water, Environment, Energy and Society (WEES-2009) here today, Soz said population growth is a contributing factor to the per capita availability of water reducing day by day.
