Indian Air Force prepared to meet any eventuality: Air Chief Marshal

Indian Air Force LogoNew Delhi, Jan 12 : Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major today said that the IAF is prepared to meet any eventuality.

He was visiting the National Cadet Corps (NCC) camp here today.

The camp has been organised for the NCC cadets participating in the Republic Day parade to be held here later this month.

Replying to a question regarding India''s war preparedness in the wake of the recent Mumbai attacks, Air Chief Marshal Major said that his force is ready for all options.

Srinagar, Jan 12 : Youths gathered here to protest against the continuing aggression of Israel against Palestine.

Separatist leader Altaf Khan, head of Jammu Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) lead the protest.

The protestors marched around Lal Chowk area, raised anti-Israel and anti-American slogans and expressed their solidarity with the Palestinians.

New York, Jan 12 : When California man Greg Hardesty went through his daughter Reina's cellphone statement, he almost laughed out hysterically.

His 13-year-old daughter's statement showed that she had sent an astonishing 14,528 text messages in one month, and the online AT&T statement ran 440 pages.

"First, I laughed. I thought, `That''s insane, that''s impossible'," the New York Post quoted the 45-year-old dad as saying.

"And I immediately whipped out the calculator to see if it was humanly possible," he said.

Upon checking he discovered that 484 text messages had been sent per day, which came out to be one every two minutes of every waking hour.
