Washington, March 21: Insects like honeybees and bumblebees prefer the shortest distance when they have to fly from one flower to another, according to an American study.

S. Alan Walters of Southern Illinois University and Jonathan R. Schultheis of North Carolina State University came to this conclusion after studying their pollinator movements down and across rows in watermelon, by tracking pollen flow.

Music composer Harris Jayaraj has been replaced by Yuvan Shankar for Ajith and Sameera Reddy starrer Asal. There are reports that Harris Jayaraj was delaying the composing of music for the songs.

Mumbai, Mar 21 : Actor turned Congress MP Govinda visited a Mumbai District Collector''s office on Friday and clarified his position on poll code violation charges.

Govinda had been charged for allegedly distributing cash at a function to celebrate Holi.

"If he tries to induce the voters, or if a candidate tries to induce voters, it amounts to bribery. He can be prosecuted," said Vishwas Patil, the western Mumbai suburban District Collector.

Govinda denied any wrongdoing.

Washington, Mar 21: Green tea’s health benefits, such as fighting bacteria, viruses and cancer, may decrease following long storage of commercial tea brands, say researchers.

The healthy tea’s leaves produce antioxidant organic compounds called catechins that reportedly have beneficial health effects. But consumers need to be aware of possible adverse consequences of their long-term storage, say researchers Mendel Friedman and Carol Levin in an article in the Journal of Food Science, published by the Institute of Food Technologists.
