City striker Bellamy out for seasonLondon - Manchester City manager Mark Hughes confirmed on Tuesday that striker Craig Bellamy is likely to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The Wales international has missed City's last three games after suffering the injury during City's 3-1 UEFA Cup quarter-final first leg defeat to Hamburg.

"Craig has got to have complete rest for two weeks then he comes back for strength work," said Hughes.

"Hopefully he might get the last couple of games, but the probability is that he won't."

Lead researcher Dr Johana Vanegas showed that presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced by the placenta to maintain the early stages of pregnancy offers protection against breast cancer.

She said that even a much shorter exposure to hCG could prevent breast cancer in rats.
