BBCLondon, Apr. 28 : A Muslim-owned jewellery shop has decided to ban customers wearing veils after being targeted by robbers disguised as Islamic women.

According to The Telegraph, any one entering ATAA Jewellers in Glasgow must reveal their faces under planned new rules to protect staff from further attacks.

The store owners decided to act after two Asian men wearing traditional Muslim women''s clothes – including niqab veils – made away with thousands of pounds worth of jewellery earlier this month.

Eminem's Washington, Apr 28 : Rapper Eminem’s obsession with treadmill has forced him to reduce his daily workout regime.

The ‘health conscious’ crooner took over treadmill to shed the extra pounds he gained while on a hiatus from his career.

However, he pushed himself so far that he had to take a break from his regime when he found himself clocking up 17 miles (27 kilometres) a day.

"I''ve been running a lot, taking care of myself. A lot of cardio. I''m actually at the point where I think I''ve been a little obsessive compulsive about running on a treadmill,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

The band had two years ago cancelled a sold-out show in Maui, and angered fans, who had doled out money for the concert, filed a class action case against them.

The case claimed that the band had pulled out in favour of a bigger gig in Chicago and a private show for car dealers in Oahu, and now lawyers have said that Aerosmith has agreed to perform and to pay all expenses.

Thai hospital quarantines patient for suspected swine flu Bangkok - A 42-year-old Thai civil servant who attended a seminar in Mexico earlier this month has been admitted to hospital and kept under quarantine over a possible swine flu infection, hospital sources said Tuesday. Chulalongkorn Hospital deputy-director Dr Thirapong Charoenwhit said the woman patient was suffering a light fever and has been sick since April 23.

The woman, whose name was not disclosed to the press, had attended a seminar in Mexico from April 3 to 11.

Advani attacks Congress on Quattrocchi issue

QuattrocchiAhmedabad, Apr 28 : Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani on Tuesday attacked the Congress party for being the leading force behind the Central Bureau of Investigation''s decision to remove the name of the lone surviving suspect in the Bofors payoff case Ottavio Quattrocchi from the Interpol''s list of most wanted persons.

Accusing the Congress for being desperate at a time when its five-year term at the Centre is almost over, Advani told a news conference here, "They are not going to come to power. Else, they would have waited for elections to get over and then take this step."
