Kathmandu, Apr 25: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal''s visit to China has been cancelled due to soaring tensions between his government and the Nepal Army over the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) clarification episode.

The Prime Minister was scheduled to commence his visit from May 2, nepalnews reports.

According to the PM''s press advisor, Om Sharma, Dahal directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to put off his China visit for now.

Chennai, Apr 25: Former Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran on Saturday slapped a legal notice on All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa for alleging irregularities in uplinking of programmes of the satellite Television channel SUN TV, which is owned by his brother Kalanidhi Maran.

In his notice, Maran has sought Rs. 10 crore and an apology from Jayalalithaa.
