The direct broadcast satellite service provider - Dish Network Corporation has launched Dish Earth, a new channel that is exclusively available on satellite platform Dish Network. The Meridian, Colorado based Dish Network's new channel Dish Earth offers 24-hour live views of Earth, and the passing views of the moon, Venus and even unidentified flying objects, with the help of the camera installed on the EchoStar 11 satellite of the company.

Washington, April 27 : Two new studies have shown that kids with a history of consuming melamine-contaminated milk powder are at a higher risk of developing kidney stones and other urological complications.

The study found that melamine calculus occurred mostly in infants at six months to 18 months after consuming melamine-contaminated milk powder after birth but that the stones could be effectively managed with noninvasive treatment.

Washington, Apr 27 : Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has revealed that the band won't split despite tensions between him and brother and guitarist Noel Gallagher.

The pair has been feuding for the past 15 years. However, Liam reassures that the split is unlikely.

Jakarta - Indonesia imposed an import ban on pork, in addition to increasing surveillance at all entry points for travelers with flu-like symptoms, to prevent the spread of swine flu, a cabinet minister said Monday. "The import of pork will be temporarily halted until a further progress concerning the swine flu, or until the condition was safe," said Aburizal Bakrie, the coordinating minister for people's welfare.

Luxembourg - Top European Union diplomats on Monday dismissed as "nonsense" a claim by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that the EU is planning to build a sphere of influence in the former Soviet Union, just 24 hours before a meeting with him. On March 21, Lavrov said that the EU was trying to build a "sphere of influence" in Eastern Europe by setting up a so-called "Eastern Partnership" with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
