London - Former British prime minister and special Middle East envoy Tony Blair said Tuesday he remained optimistic that current international efforts to end the fighting in Gaza could be successful.

"If we want to resolve this, we can," Blair, who is the special envoy of the so-called Middle East Quartet, said in a BBC interview from Jerusalem.

There could be an immediate stop to the fighting if "clear action" was taken to stop the supply of arms and money to Hamas, said Blair, indicating that the issue was at the centre of Egyptian-led talks with the militant Palestinian group.

London, Jan 6 : Rumours are abuzz that Apple may launch a ''big screen'' version of its popular iPod touch device to make it even easier to surf the Internet and watch movies.

A report from Michael Arrington of TechCrunch, a popular technology industry blog, says that Apple has developed an iPod touch device with a 7- or 9-inch display.

Sources have told that blog that prototypes of the device are already being shown to Apple's manufacturing partners in Asia, reports the Telegraph.

The gadget would enable users to listen to music, watch films and surf the Internet on a more comfortably sized screen than the 3.5in display currently used.

London, Jan 6 : Scientists from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) have devised an ultra-hard vehicle armour with an array of holes to protect military personnel.

According to a report by BBC News, details of the steel armour, called Super Bainite, were outlined during a seminar at the University of Cambridge.

Professor Peter Brown from the MoD team claims that the array of holes has given the armour a protective advantage, as the perforations help deflect incoming projectiles.

The babe insisted that 95 per cent of such articles are "BS".

Hilton called the stories written by press baseless, and revealed that constantly reading lies about herself has enraged her.

"Ninety-five per cent is BS (bulls**t). I read a story about myself dancing sexily in front of Prince William and Harry, when actually I was just sitting there and they came up to me and said, ''Hey, nice to meet you," Contactmusic quoted Hilton, as telling Glamour magazine.

The socialite and Lohan have been involved in a war of words in the past, including a public spat at a pre-Grammy Awards party in 2008.

However, now the two have vowed not to fight again.

The kiss was captured on camera as Gyllenhaal kissed Witherspoon during a traditional time-out segment of the game, reports Contactmusic.
