London, December 22 : Three Hollywood films about the battle of Hastings may soon hit cinema halls.

According to reports, filmmakers are planning to give a cinema treatment to the clash between King Harold and William the Conqueror as the falling out of two comrades.

It's been about 1,000 years after Harold took an arrow in the eye, one of the most dramatic turning points in English history.

Films about the historic event are expected to involve a combination of violence and contrasting love lives of Harold and William.

Los Angeles  - Comedian Jim Carrey's film Yes Man opened at the top of the US box office, beating out Will Smith's drama Seven Pounds.

Yes Man, a comedy about a man who vows to say yes to everything asked of him, earned 1.2 million dollars, studio figures showed Sunday. Seven Pounds, which stars Smith as a tax agent trying to help seven people, brought in 16 million dollars in its first weekend. In third place was an animated mouse in The Tale of Despereaux.

London, Dec 21 : Supermodel Kate Moss celebrated beau Jamie Hince's 40th birthday with a 100,000 pound Andy Warhol-themed bash.

Hince turned up as Warhol in an ice blonde wig with black-rimmed glasses and Moss transformed her converted barn in the Cotswolds into the late pop artist's factory.

Sadie Frost, actor Rhys Ifans, hairdresser James Brown, model Rose Ferguson and Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie were among the guests in the party.

Elusive artist Banksy is even thought to have snuck in to deliver a Warhol-style painting of Moss, worth 100,000 pounds, as a special gift for Hince.

The catwalk queen presented Hince with a set of framed Marilyn Monroe screen prints.

L. A. city council member Jack Weiss' campaign is asking registered voters to weigh in on Deputy City Attorney Michael Amerian's case against Spears for her 2007 hit-and-run case, as part of the poll.

He is said to be trying to create an election issue out of the unsuccessful driving-without-a-license prosecution, ABCNews. com reports.
