Coldplay and The Killers' frontman Brandon Flowers had performed at the Brit Awards at London''s Earl''s Court earlier in the evening, and they had to hurry across the U. K. capital to make it to the War Child charity event at The O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has decided to hand over the trophy Matilda if Heath wins.

The Academy will hold the statuette until Matilda''s 18th birthday, when she will be able to sign the contract required of all winners.

The document bars award recipients from reselling the statuette without first offering it back to the Academy for 1 dollar.
