GEMA orders the rooting off 600 videos from YouTube
The German Music org. has ordered the Google's subsidiary, YouTube to remove 600 videos, as they are illegal in nature and violates many rules.
This association of 60,000 German songwriters, music publishers and composers compose the GEMA who charge the listeners according to airwaves and similarly for the web broadcasters they have to pay each time they put in use any genre of music composed by their members.
The Chief executive of the German Organisation, Urban Pappi stated that it is not a punishment that we are giving to Google; instead we want to show Google what we can do if we want to.
Google dismayed with this remark claimed that it is a loss on their side, as the company tried to showcase more videos of the same thus, promoting it simultaneously but GEMA now has to bear the loss which could otherwise have been profit making money from the viewership and thus sharing it with rights holders and the songwriters.
